It has now been almost three whole weeks since we launched the Freemen News-Letter. I couldn’t be happier with how things have gone. The level of content from those willing to contribute their writing to our effort has been beyond my wildest hopes. And more submissions keep pouring in. I and others are working very hard to keep the ball rolling.
As some of you may know, my vision for the Freemen News-Letter is to provide the highest quality content to subscribers and to the general public as a free offering under the non-profit efforts of the Freemen Foundation. And, as if this wasn’t a bold enough goal, I want to be able to compensate our excellent freelance contributors for their work. I believe in the value of the written word.
I also want to build upon the Freemen News-Letter’s success. While I am the Editor in Chief of the News-Letter, I am also the Executive Director for the Freemen Foundation, and we have big goals and big plans for this broad effort to conserve and renew American Constitutionalism.
But, for however much I wish it didn’t have to be the case, any kind of effort like the one we’ve embarked upon requires hard work, long hours, and plenty of money. I’ve got the hard work and long hours covered, but I need you and those like you to help with that last pesky ingredient.
And it’s not going to be easy, because we are taking a very different road than a lot of other non-profits, PACs, and political campaigns out there. We have shunned the rage machine, we’ve vowed never to grift and graft on fear and vitriol, and the only promise we are comfortable in offering is to do our very best to live up to our mission, to conserve and renew American Constitutionalism.
We know that by choosing this path, we’ve surrendered a certain amount of reach and set aside the route that could lead us to a vast quantity of supporters who, as we’ve seen, will fork out money hand over fist for daily doses of confirmation bias. But our hope is that, instead, we are courting an audience of high-quality, of thinkers and doers committed to a path less traveled.
We understand times are tough, and we must all focus on making ends meat. But anything you are willing to give to the cause will aid us in our efforts of holding aloft the torch of liberty passed down to us from our noble ancestors and ensuring that august flame burns bright as we preserve it, renew it, and pass it on to our children.
Please consider offering a single-time, monthly, or yearly donation to The Freemen Foundation.
